CCF completes its fourth investment

26/09/2006

The Creative Capital Fund (CCF) is delighted to announce the completion in September 2006 of its investment in ZAC Toons Limited.

The business

ZAC Toons (www.zactoons.com) creates original animated cartoon video content for the global marketplace. The content will initially be available via mobile networks and the internet and later via television and other appropriate distribution channels. ZAC Toons' animated video content is appealing to mobile network operators and consumer portals because it is seen as a main driver of future revenue growth. This type of content is also well suited to the anticipated rise of user-subscription models for mobile TV and other personalised content. Each 'toon' (cartoon) series will consist of TV-quality animated episodes with ancillary products such as ringtones and wallpapers to be bundled and taken to market as a complete packaged offering.

ZAC Toons has signed distribution deals with Player X and Mobile Streams allowing its first series, Mr Patel, to be available to consumers in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand from October 2006. Three more distribution deals are expected to be signed in October.

The funding

CCF has invested £75,000 out of a total of £225,000 in new equity for the business. The balance of the funding has come from private investors
