The business

MyDish (www.mydish.co.uk) is a social networking site for food lovers. It enables people to share recipes and their passion for food. MyDish believes that food is at the heart of some of our most important social interactions. It has a mission is to promote good home cooking and to provide a public archive where family recipes can be kept, and more importantly, shared.

Mydish was founded in 2007 by Carol Savage who following her MBA at London Business School had built, run and sold a company in the flexible workspace. She set up Mydish as a place to keep treasured recipes, to share hints and tips with friends, to create personalised recipe books and to raise funds for charity. The site launched to BT employees in September and now has AXAppp using the Mydish tool as a team building and staff networking tool.

The funding

CCF has invested £105,000 as part of total funding round of £380,000 with the additional funding coming from a business angels with a wealth of experience of consumer internet applications.
